Competition (February 19, 2026)

The competition is divided into 5 age categories:

 

1. up to 12 years

2. up to 14 years

3. up to 16 years

4. up to 18 years

5. from 19 to 26 years

 

Mandatory pieces for the competition:

 

- Up to 12 years: Jeanine Rueff - Chanson et passepied op

- Up to 14 years: Rudy Wiedoeft - Dans L'Orient for Alto Saxophone and Piano
- Up to 16 years: Robert Planel - Prelude et Saltarelle for Alto Saxophone and Piano
- Up to 18 years: Robert Muczynski - Sonata Op. 29 for Alto Saxophone and Piano
- From 19 to 26 years: Pierre Max Dubois - Divertissement for Alto Saxophone and Piano

Prizes

Prize amounts will be announced after all apllications have been received. Winners will be honored during the closing ceremony.

 

Faculty Concert

From each age categor, the jury will nominate three participants to perform selected works at the Faculty Concert on Friday, February 20,  2026.

Participation Fees​

 

Masterclass (soloists)
·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 300,00 for active participation which includes 3 units of 40 minutes each (= 2 x 40 minutes)

·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 225,00 for active participation which includes 3 units of 30 minutes each (= 3 x 30 minutes)

 

 

Masterclass (Ensembles)
·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 170,00 per person (duo,  3 x 45 minute lessons)
·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 120,00 per person (trio,  3 x 45 minute lessons)

·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 100,00 per person (quartet or larger,  3 x 50 minute lessons)

 

Additional options

·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 80,00 - competition entry
·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 100,00 passive participation (entire course period)

·​ ​ ​ ​ ​ € 40,00 piano accompaniment (includes rehearsal and performance)

 

Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before the start of the course. After that, the full participation fee will be charged.
